Zemismart MT03B Battery Electric Curtain Track Kit – Matter over Thread, No Wiring, 2m to 8m

An electric curtain track with no wiring
Most electric curtain tracks need a plug socket or a spur near the ceiling, which usually means an electrician. The Zemismart MT03B doesn't. Its motor runs on a built-in 6400mAh rechargeable battery, so you fit the track, hang your curtains and control them from your phone, by voice, with the included remote, or by giving the curtain a gentle tug.
The track comes in sections that join together, so one kit covers anything from a small window to a full wall, in sizes from 2m to 8m.
Using a Tuya or Smart Life Zigbee hub instead? See the ZM87EL-ZP, the Zigbee version of a battery curtain track.
Matter over Thread: one curtain, every smart home
The MT03B is a Matter over Thread device, so it isn't tied to one brand. It works with:
- Apple Home (including Siri)
- Amazon Alexa
- Google Home
- SmartThings (including Bixby)
- Home Assistant

For setup you need a Matter controller with a Thread border router. You may already own one:
- Apple: Apple TV 4K (2nd gen, or 3rd gen 128GB), HomePod (2nd gen), HomePod mini
- Google: Nest Hub (2nd gen), Nest Hub Max, Nest Wifi, Nest Wifi Pro, Google TV Streamer (4K)
- Amazon: Echo (4th gen), Echo Hub, eero 6, eero 6+, eero Pro 6, eero Pro 6E, eero Max 7
- SmartThings: SmartThings Hub v3 (Aeotec), SmartThings Station

Voice control and schedules
Say "Hey Siri, open the curtains", "Alexa, close the curtains", or the same with Google or Bixby. Set the curtains to open at 7am and close at sunset, or build them into routines with your lights and heating.

Home Assistant users can add the MT03B through Matter to see its status and control it alongside everything else.

Remote control and touch start
The included remote has open, stop and close buttons, a magnetic mount, and runs on a standard CR2032 coin battery.

No phone to hand? Give the curtain a gentle pull and the motor takes over to finish opening or closing it. You can also use pull activation to move the curtain when the battery is running low.

6400mAh rechargeable battery
The compact motor (65 × 50 × 80mm) holds a 6400mAh battery with up to 3 months' standby time. Recharge it with the included 3m USB-C cable. The motor is small enough to sit neatly inside a curtain pelmet.

Optional solar charging: add the solar charging panel (sold separately) to the window and it helps keep the battery topped up between charges.

Strong and quiet
- Up to 50kg load: handles heavy blackout and thermal curtains.
- Two speeds: Quiet (14cm/s) for bedrooms and Normal (20cm/s) for everyday use.

Works with your window and curtain style
Side or centre opening: use one curtain that opens to the left or right, or a pair that parts in the middle.

Straight and curved tracks: the motor supports straight runs and 90° or 135° curved layouts, which suit corner and bay windows. Curved sections aren't part of the standard straight kit.

Wave (S-fold) curtains: supported with S-fold runners and hooks, sold separately. Standard pleated curtains work with the runners included.

Thoughtful track details
- End hook: lets the curtain reach the very edge of the track, so less light leaks round the side.
- Quiet runners: glide smoothly and quietly.
- Overlapping carriers: centre-opening curtains overlap when closed to block light.
- Track connectors: join sections securely to the length you need.

Choosing the right kit size
Each kit is built from 1m tracks plus shorter 500mm, 200mm and 100mm sections, joined with connectors. That way there's no cutting, and you still get a close fit.
| Kit | Fits a track length up to | 1m tracks | 500mm | 200mm | 100mm |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2m | 2m | 1 | 1 | 2 | 1 |
| 3m | 3m | 2 | 1 | 2 | 1 |
| 4m | 4m | 3 | 1 | 2 | 1 |
| 5m | 5m | 4 | 1 | 2 | 1 |
| 6m | 6m | 5 | 1 | 2 | 1 |
| 7m | 7m | 6 | 1 | 2 | 1 |
| 8m | 8m | 7 | 1 | 2 | 1 |

How to measure
- Covering a whole wall (alcove): track length = wall width minus 3cm.
- Covering just the window: track length = window width plus 70cm, so the curtains stack clear of the glass.

Space needed
- Ceiling mount, single track: at least 9cm (ceiling brackets included).
- Wall mount, single track: at least 10cm (wall brackets included).
- Double track (e.g. voile plus blackout): at least 16cm on the ceiling or 20cm on the wall. Order two kits; dual wall brackets are sold separately.
Allow an extra 1–2cm for fitting tolerance.

Sizing made-to-measure curtains
- Height: finished curtain drop = measured height minus 5.5cm (the height of the track and runners).
- Width (centre opening): make each curtain 10cm wider than half the track, so they overlap in the middle.
- Pleated curtains give the neatest look.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an electrician to fit it?
No. The motor is battery-powered, so there's no mains wiring. You just need to drill and fit the brackets.
Do I need a hub?
You need a Matter controller with a Thread border router, such as a HomePod mini, Apple TV 4K, Nest Hub (2nd gen), Echo (4th gen) or SmartThings Station. See the full list above.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 3 months on standby. Real-world use depends on how often the curtains move and how heavy they are. You can add the optional solar panel to keep it topped up.
Which size kit do I need?
Measure the track length you need (wall width minus 3cm, or window width plus 70cm) and choose the kit that covers it. For example, a 2.6m track needs the 3m kit.
Will it work in a bay window?
The motor supports 90° and 135° curved layouts, but curved track sections aren't included in the standard straight kit.
Can I still open the curtains by hand?
Yes. Pull the curtain gently and the motor takes over to finish the movement.
Does it work with wave curtains?
Yes, with S-fold runners and hooks, which are sold separately.
