A rechargeable smart motor for small roller blinds
The Zemismart ZM16B is a slim battery-powered motor that fits inside a 17mm, 25mm or 28mm roller blind tube. There's no wiring and no plug socket. Charge it over USB-C, or add the solar panel and let daylight keep it topped up.
Pair it with a Tuya Zigbee hub to control your blind from the Tuya or Smart Life app, by voice, on a schedule, or with the RF remote.
USB-C or solar charging
The built-in 800mAh lithium battery charges through a USB-C port on the motor head. Choose the solar panel version to keep it charged from the window, so you rarely need to take the blind down.
App control on every major platform
With a Tuya Zigbee hub (not included), control the blind from the Tuya or Smart Life app. Add a Zemismart M1 or M6 Matter hub to use it in Apple Home, Google Home, SmartThings and Home Assistant as well.
Voice control and schedules
Say "Alexa, close the blinds", or the same with Google or Bixby. Siri works when the blind is in Apple Home through an M1 or M6 hub. Set schedules in the app, for example close at 1pm and reopen halfway at 2pm.
RF remote
The compact remote has open, stop and close buttons and can control several blinds as a group. It runs on a CR2032 coin battery. The ZM16B only works with the Zemismart remote sold with it.
Two speeds
The motor starts at a quiet 33rpm. While it's moving, press the same direction button again to switch to 50rpm. It remembers the last speed you used.
Will it fit my blind?
- Tube: 17mm, 25mm or 28mm round aluminium tube.
- Blind size: 60cm to 150cm wide, up to 200cm drop.
- Weight: up to 2kg.
Check your tube's inner shape against the guide below: not every groove style fits the 17mm and 25mm adapters.
Installation
- Slide the motor into the blind's tube.
- Fit the end plugs and brackets, mark the bracket positions and fix them to the wall or ceiling.
- Clip the blind onto the brackets.
Pairing
Press the setting button on the motor three times quickly until the green light flashes. In the Tuya app, open your Zigbee hub, tap "Add subdevice", then "LED already blink", and follow the prompts.
To pair the remote, press the setting button once (the motor vibrates), then press Stop on the remote. The motor vibrates again when it's paired.

Do I need an electrician?
No. It's battery powered, so there's no wiring.
Will it fit my blind?
It fits round 17, 25 and 28mm tubes, on blinds up to 150cm wide and 2kg. Check your tube against the guide above.
Do I need a hub?
Yes, a Tuya Zigbee hub, or a Zemismart M1 or M6 for Apple Home and Home Assistant.
Can I use a different remote?
No. The ZM16B only works with its own Zemismart remote.
ZM16B or ZM15B?
Both are small Zigbee battery motors. Choose the ZM16B for solar charging, USB-C and faster speeds. The ZM15B also fits 20mm tubes. For Matter and Apple Home without a Zigbee hub, choose the MT15B.
