The Zemismart A270-Z is a smart lever handle lock with a fingerprint reader built into the handle. Touch to open, or use a code, a card, the Tuya app or the backup key. It connects over Zigbee, so with a Tuya Zigbee hub you can unlock the door from anywhere, create codes for guests and see every entry in the app. It comes as a complete set: inside and outside handles, the lock body, and two backup keys.
Got a uPVC or composite door? The S1-K smart cylinder swaps in without changing the lock.

Five ways to unlock
- Fingerprint: a semiconductor sensor in the handle reads your finger at any angle in about 0.3 seconds.
- Code: enter your PIN on the touch keypad.
- Card: tap a key card on the reader.
- App: unlock in the Tuya or Smart Life app, from anywhere with a Tuya Zigbee hub.
- Key: a hidden keyhole underneath for emergencies.
Up to 100 users can be stored, so it suits families, shared houses and small offices.
Thoughtful details
- Anti-peep code: type extra digits before or after your real code so nobody can learn it by watching.
- Doorbell button: visitors press the bell icon on the keypad.
- Voice prompts in English guide you through setup.
- Passage mode: keep the door unlocked during busy times, such as office hours.

Zigbee: remote unlock and alerts with a Tuya hub
The lock connects to a Tuya Zigbee hub (not included), which links it to the Tuya or Smart Life app. Zigbee is a low-power wireless standard, and the lock runs on four AA batteries. With the hub you can:
- unlock remotely with a long press in the app
- get notifications when someone unlocks, a wrong code is tried, or the battery is low
- check the full unlock record
- link the lock to scenes, such as hallway lights turning on when you unlock the door
Codes for guests, cleaners and tenants
Create and share codes from the app, even when the lock is offline:
- Recurring codes: for a cleaner on set days and times.
- One-time codes: for a friend or a delivery. They stop working after one use.
- Time-limited codes: for Airbnb guests or tenants, valid between two dates.
Alerts and duress alarm
Get a notification when the children get home, or if someone tries a wrong code. You can also set a duress fingerprint or code: it opens the door as normal but quietly sends an alert to a family member's phone.
Battery powered, with an emergency USB-C port
The lock runs on four AA batteries (not included) and warns you when they're running low. If they run flat, connect a power bank to the USB-C port underneath to power the lock, or use the backup key.
Will it fit my door?
The A270-Z is a full handle-and-lock set for timber or steel doors 35–55mm thick. It replaces your existing handles and lock. Before ordering, check these three things:
- Door type. It doesn't fit uPVC or composite doors with a multipoint lock (lift the handle, then turn the key). For those doors, see the S1-K smart cylinder.
- Lock body. Choose the lock body option that matches yours (see the size drawings), or the closest one. A carpenter or locksmith may need to enlarge the cut-out in the door edge.
- Faceplate and handle position. Measure the faceplate height on the door edge and the distance from the door edge to the centre of the handle (the backset).

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a hub?
The fingerprint, code, card and key all work without one. A Tuya Zigbee hub is needed for the app: remote unlock, guest codes, records and alerts.
Will it fit my uPVC front door?
Not if it has a multipoint lock, which most uPVC and composite doors do. Choose the S1-K smart euro cylinder instead.
Can I fit it myself?
If your door already has a lock body that matches one of the options, you can swap the lock body and handles over. If the door needs cutting, a carpenter or locksmith should fit it.
Does it work on left and right-hand doors?
Yes. The handles are reversible.
What happens if the batteries run out?
The lock warns you in advance. If they do run flat, power it through the USB-C port with a power bank, or use the backup key.
Is it suitable for holiday lets and offices?
Yes. Up to 100 users, time-limited guest codes and passage mode make it a good fit.
