The Zemismart MIR-IR100 is a compact, battery-powered Zigbee motion sensor. It spots movement up to 8 metres away across a 90° view, then tells your smart home. Use it to switch the hallway lights on as you walk in, or get a notification on your phone when there's movement at home while you're out. There are no wires, and the magnetic stand lets you angle it exactly where you need it.
Need the lights to stay on while you sit still? Choose the ZPS-Z1 presence sensor.
8m range, 90° view
The passive infrared (PIR) sensor covers up to 8 metres across a 90° angle, day or night. That suits a hallway, landing, stairs or living room. For best results, mount it about 2.2m high, angled down into the room.
Phone alerts when there's movement
When motion is detected, the Tuya or Smart Life app can send a notification to your phone, so you know if someone's moving about at home while you're away. You can check the sensor's history and battery level at any time.
Automate your lights and devices
Link the sensor to other smart devices in the app:
- Lights on in the hallway or on the stairs when someone walks past.
- Lights off automatically when nobody's been there for a while.
- Routines with Alexa or Google Home, through the Tuya app.
Lights on when you walk in: pair it with the Zigbee MR16, the ZMZ-SL Zigbee downlight, the Zigbee colour changing downlight or the ZMZ-03SL LED strip controller.
Want to switch the lights by hand as well? Add a stick-on manual override switch (ZB-L04C).
Small, wireless and adjustable
One CR123A battery powers the sensor, and the low-power chip keeps battery use to a minimum. It warns you in the app when the battery is getting low. The magnetic base lets you angle the sensor, stand it on a shelf or fix it to the wall. A built-in filter against bright white light and temperature compensation help reduce false alerts.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a hub?
Yes, a Tuya Zigbee hub. It connects the sensor to the Tuya or Smart Life app.
What's the difference between this and the ZPS-Z1?
This PIR sensor reacts to movement and has a longer 8m range, so it's ideal for hallways, stairs and alerts. The ZPS-Z1 radar presence sensor can also tell when someone is sitting still, so it's better for living rooms and offices where lights should stay on.
Which battery does it use?
One CR123A 3V battery, which isn't included.
Does it extend my Zigbee network?
No. As a battery sensor, it doesn't act as a Zigbee repeater, so keep it within range of your hub or a mains-powered Zigbee device.
Can I use it outdoors?
No. It's designed for indoor use.
Is it a burglar alarm?
No. It sends phone notifications and triggers automations, but it has no siren and isn't a certified alarm sensor.
