The Zemismart ZM20A is a glass touch wall switch for mains-powered curtain, blind and roller shutter motors. Touch open, pause or close on the wall, or control the motor from your phone and voice assistant. It uses Matter over WiFi, so it works with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings, and you can set an exact position such as 40% open.

Open, pause and close at a touch
Three touch keys on the glass panel let you open, stop or close the curtain or blind. The keys light up so you can find them in the dark.
Works with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings
Thanks to Matter, you can add the switch to the app you already use, or to several at once, and set the curtain to an exact percentage. You’ll need a Matter controller on your home network, for example:
- Apple: HomePod mini, HomePod (2nd gen) or Apple TV 4K
- Amazon: Echo (4th gen), Echo Hub, Echo Show 8 or 10 (3rd gen), Echo Studio, or eero 6 / Pro 6 routers
- Google: Nest Hub (2nd gen), Nest Hub Max, Nest Wifi or Nest Wifi Pro
- Samsung: SmartThings Station or hub
Voice control
Say “Hey Siri, open the curtains”, “Alexa, open the curtain to 40%” or “OK Google, close the blinds”.
Set up in the Zemismart app
Add the switch to the Zemismart app (or Uhome+) to calibrate the motor’s travel time, so percentage positions are accurate, and to set schedules and countdowns. The Tuya app can also add it, but only for basic open and close.
Installation
The switch connects to a mains AC curtain, blind or shutter motor with up and down wires. Wire live (L), neutral (N) and the two motor wires (M11, M12), and connect the motor’s earth to the earth in the wall box. Switch off the power before fitting. It should be installed by a qualified electrician.
Setting up
Power on, then press and hold any key until the lights cycle red, green and blue. Then open your smart home app and scan the Matter QR code on the switch. Take a photo of the code before you fit the switch.

Frequently asked questions
Will it fit a UK back box?
No. The plate is 120 × 72mm, made for US and Latin American (4 × 2) wall boxes.
Is there a UK-size version?
Yes, in Zigbee. The ZN-LC1E curtain switch has an 86 × 86mm plate that fits UK back boxes. It needs a Tuya Zigbee hub.
What motors does it work with?
Mains AC (100–240V) curtain, blind and roller shutter motors with separate up and down wires, up to 200W. It doesn’t work with battery, DC or Zigbee-only motors.
Do I need a neutral wire?
Yes, as well as live.
Do I need a hub?
You need a Matter controller for Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home or SmartThings. For the Zemismart app alone, it connects directly to WiFi.
Can I set the curtain halfway?
Yes. After calibrating in the Zemismart app, you can set any position from 0 to 100% by app or voice.
Does it work in the Tuya app?
Yes, but only for open and close. Use the Zemismart app for calibration and positions.
