A grey aluminium smart switch with real buttons

The Zemismart K6 is a Zigbee push button light switch with a full-size grey aluminium front. It fits a standard UK 86mm back box and replaces an ordinary light switch, with no need to change your light fittings. Each key gives a positive press, and any key you don’t need for a light can be turned into a wireless scene button for your other smart devices.

It works with the Tuya Smart and Smart Life apps through a Tuya Zigbee hub, and comes in 1, 2, 3 and 4 gang versions.

Prefer a glass touch panel with a name screen? See the ZMS-206EU. Want Matter instead of Zigbee, with labelled buttons? See the ZM101. No Zigbee hub? See the ZM106 Matter push button switch (UK size). No hub? See the ZM202 Matter WiFi switch. Prefer touch? See the ZN-RS01E.

Why choose the K6

  • Grey aluminium alloy panel. A metal finish that sits well in modern and darker interiors.
  • Real push buttons with an LED indicator on each key.
  • Spare keys become scene buttons. Switch an unused key to wireless mode and use it to control other smart devices or run a scene.
  • Works with smart bulbs. Set a key to wireless mode so it controls a smart bulb without cutting its power.
  • UK 86mm size. Fits a standard UK back box and replaces a normal switch.
  • Timers and schedules. Countdown, delay-off, Schedule, Circulate and Random.
  • Voice control with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Fits an 86mm back box

Control it your way

Press the button on the wall, tap it in the app from anywhere, ask Alexa or Google, or let a timer do it for you.

Turn spare keys into scene buttons

If you have a 3 or 4 gang switch but only two lights on that circuit, the extra keys don’t have to go to waste. Set any key to wireless switch mode in the app and use it to trigger other Zigbee devices, a scene or an automation, such as “all downstairs lights off”.

The same mode is useful with smart bulbs. Normally, turning a wall switch off cuts the power to a smart bulb, so it drops offline. In wireless mode the key sends a command instead, so the bulb stays powered and connected.

Timers and schedules

Set a countdown, a delay-off after each use, or schedule lights to come on and go off at set times. Circulate switches on and off repeatedly within a period, and Random makes the house look occupied while you’re away. You can also choose what each gang does after a power cut: off, on, or back to its last state.

Timer control and schedules

Indicator light

In the app, choose how the indicator behaves: off, on when the light is on, or a locator light that glows when the light is off so you can find the switch in the dark.

Voice control

Link the Smart Life or Tuya app to Alexa or Google Home and control each gang by voice.

You will need a Tuya Zigbee hub

The K6 needs a Tuya-compatible Zigbee hub (sold separately), such as the Zemismart M1 Pro, M1 or M6. With an M1 or M6 hub, it can also be controlled in Apple Home, Google Home, SmartThings and Home Assistant.

Pairing

  1. Add your Tuya Zigbee hub to the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app.
  2. Power on the switch, then hold any key for 10–15 seconds until the indicator flashes quickly.
  3. In the app, open the hub, tap Add subdevice, then LED already blink.
  4. Rename each gang (letters and numbers only).

Frequently asked questions

Will the K6 fit a UK back box?

The plate is 86 × 86mm, the same as a UK single switch. The module is 25.5mm deep, so use a 35mm back box rather than a 25mm one. The 4 gang has a bigger module (64.7 × 67.2mm) than the 1–3 gang (54.2mm square), so check it fits your box before buying.

Does it need a neutral wire?

Yes. The K6 needs live and neutral. Many older UK lighting circuits have no neutral at the switch, so check first or ask an electrician. No neutral? See the 606EU-Z no neutral Zigbee switch (UK 86mm size).

Do I need a hub?

Yes, a Tuya Zigbee hub such as the Zemismart M1 Pro, M1 or M6. It doesn’t connect to WiFi directly.

What is wireless switch mode?

It lets you turn a key into a remote button. It no longer switches its own output and instead sends a command to other smart devices or runs a scene.

Can I use it with smart bulbs?

Yes. Put the key that controls the smart bulb into wireless mode so the bulb keeps its power and stays online.

Does it work with Alexa, Google and Apple Home?

Alexa and Google Assistant work through the Smart Life skill. Apple Home, SmartThings and Home Assistant need a Zemismart M1 or M6 hub.

Is it available in other colours?

This page is for the grey aluminium version.

Can I fit it myself?

In the UK, mains wiring should be done by a qualified electrician and must comply with Part P of the Building Regulations.
