A plug-in electric curtain track that connects over WiFi

The Zemismart ZM02 turns your curtains into smart curtains you can open and close from your phone, by voice, with the RF remote, or with a gentle push by hand. It connects to your home WiFi using Matter, so it works with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings without a Thread network.

The aluminium track comes in sections that join together, so one kit covers anything from a small window to a full wall, in sizes from 2m to 8m.

Matter over WiFi: works with every major smart home

The ZM02 works with:

To add it to your smart home you need a Matter controller. You may already own one:

Voice control and schedules

Say "Hey Siri, open the curtains", "Alexa, close the curtains", or the same with Google or Bixby (a compatible smart speaker is needed). Set the curtains to open in the morning and close at sunset, or add them to routines with your lights and heating.

RF remote control

The included RF remote opens, stops and closes the curtains without your phone. Use it in your hand or fix it to the wall. It takes a CR2450 coin battery, which is not included.

Push to start, and manual use without power

Give the curtain a gentle push and the motor takes over to finish opening or closing it. If the motor is unplugged or the power is off, you can still open and close the curtains by hand.

Centre or side opening

Use a pair of curtains that part in the middle, or a single curtain that opens to one side. The kit includes the parts for both.

Built to run smoothly

• Aluminium track: light, strong and joined with connectors to the length you need.
• Belt drive: for quiet, smooth movement.
• 1.5Nm torque motor: moves the curtains at about 12.8cm per second.

Choosing the right kit size

Measure the track length you need, then choose the kit at or just above it.

• Covering a whole wall (alcove): track length = wall width minus 3cm.
• Covering just the window: track length = window width plus 70cm, so the curtains stack clear of the glass.

For example, a 2.6m track needs the 3m kit.

Specifications

Quick setup

1. Press the setting button on the motor three times quickly. The blue light flashes rapidly.
2. Make sure your phone is on WiFi.
3. Open Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home or SmartThings and choose to add a Matter device.
4. Scan the Matter QR code on the motor and follow the prompts.

To pair the remote, press Set on the motor once, then press the up button on the remote within 5 seconds. The motor light flashes rapidly when it's paired.

Frequently asked questions

Does it need a Thread border router?

No. The ZM02 uses Matter over WiFi, so it only needs a Matter controller such as a HomePod mini, Nest Hub (2nd gen), Echo (4th gen) or SmartThings Station.

Does it need a plug socket?

Yes. The motor is mains powered with a 1.5m cable, so you'll need a socket near the top corner of the window. If there isn't one, an electrician can fit a socket or fused spur.

Can I use it for one curtain or two?

Both. It supports centre opening (a pair) and side opening (a single curtain).

Which size kit do I need?

Measure your track length (wall width minus 3cm, or window width plus 70cm) and choose the kit that covers it.

Can I still open the curtains by hand?

Yes. Push the curtain gently and the motor takes over. With the power off, you can move the curtains by hand.

What battery does the remote use?

A CR2450 coin battery, which isn't included.
