Please note: this sensor fits inside your consumer unit (fuse box) and must be installed by a qualified electrician. It needs a Tuya Zigbee hub, a Zigbee2MQTT coordinator or a Homey Pro hub (none included). It works with Home Assistant through Zigbee2MQTT only. ZHA isn’t supported.
Three-phase supply? See the SPM02 3-phase Zigbee energy meter.

See exactly where your electricity goes
The Zemismart SPM01 is a small Zigbee energy sensor that measures the electricity flowing through a circuit, up to 63A. Pass the live conductor through the sensor and connect its two short leads to live and neutral. You’ll then see voltage, current, power and energy use live in your app, with hourly, daily, monthly and yearly history. Zemismart states measurement accuracy within 1%.

Tiny, and it doesn’t take a DIN rail slot
At just 48 × 18 × 21mm, the SPM01 sits on the cable inside the consumer unit rather than taking up a space on the DIN rail. That makes it easy to add to a board that’s already full.

Monitor a whole circuit or the whole house
Fit it on one circuit, such as the kitchen, an EV charger supply or a hot tub, to see what that circuit uses. Or fit it where the supply enters the board to watch the whole house, as long as the cable fits the 9.8mm hole. The arrow on the sensor shows the direction of energy flow. Energy flowing the other way, for example from solar panels, is recorded separately as reverse energy.

Detailed data in the Tuya app
- Live readings: voltage, current, active power, power factor and frequency
- Energy: total forward (imported) and reverse (exported) kWh, plus energy used this hour
- History: day, month and year charts
- Reporting interval: 600 seconds by default, adjustable in the app

Alerts when something’s wrong
Set alarms for high power, over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage, high temperature and negative active power. You’ll get a phone notification when a threshold is crossed.

Home Assistant and Homey
- Home Assistant: pair it with a Zigbee2MQTT coordinator (a USB Zigbee dongle). Voltage, current, power, energy, produced energy, power factor and frequency appear as entities, ready for the Home Assistant Energy dashboard. ZHA isn’t supported.
- Homey Pro: view imported and exported energy, voltage, current, power, apparent power and power factor.

Frequently asked questions
Can I fit it myself?
No. It goes inside your consumer unit, which must be done by a qualified electrician with the power off.
Will it fit around my main meter tails?
The hole is 9.8mm across, and only the live conductor passes through. Many UK main supply tails (16mm² or 25mm², double-insulated) are thicker than that. Your electrician can check, or fit it on an individual circuit cable instead.
Does it work with Home Assistant?
Yes, through Zigbee2MQTT with a Zigbee USB coordinator. It doesn’t work with ZHA.
Can it measure my solar export?
It records energy in both directions: forward (imported) and reverse (exported). It’s a monitor, not a billing meter, so use your supplier’s smart meter for export payments.
Does it control or switch anything?
No. It only measures. To switch an appliance off, pair it with a smart switch in an automation.
How often does it update?
Every 600 seconds (10 minutes) by default. You can change the reporting interval in the app’s alarm settings.
