Please note: not for UK back boxes. This switch has a 120 × 72mm plate for US and Latin American (4×2) wall boxes. Every button tells you what it does

No more guessing which switch is the landing light. Each button on the Zemismart ZMS-206US has a small screen beside it showing a name you choose, such as "Kitchen", "Dining" or "Ceiling". Rename a button in the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app and the screen on the wall updates straight away, with no stickers or label makers.

Names in your language

Button names can be written in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese and Chinese. Each name can be up to 9 English characters long, so "Kitchen", "Balcony" and "Landing" all fit.

Vertical or horizontal

Choose names down the side (vertical) or names across the top with buttons in a row (horizontal). Both work exactly the same way.

Black glass, silver frame

The black version pairs a gloss black glass front with a slim silver frame. The upper buttons sit on separate glass tiles for a layered look. It suits dark walls and modern interiors.

Choose 1, 2, 3 or 4 gangs

Choose your backlight colour

Set the button rings to red, blue, green, white or yellow, and adjust the backlight brightness from 0 to 100% in the app. You can also choose how the indicator behaves, and what the switch does after a power cut.

Lights up as you approach

A proximity sensor wakes the display when someone walks up to it, so you can read the names in the dark without the screen glowing all night.

More settings in the app

• Radar wake time: choose how long the screen stays lit after someone walks past: off, 10, 20, 30 or 45 seconds.
• ON and OFF colours: set a different ring colour for on and off.
• Backlight: set the brightness, or turn the backlight off completely.
• Child lock: disable the touch buttons on the wall, while the app and voice still work.
• Power-on state: choose what the lights do after a power cut.
• Switch log: see when each button was used.

Touch, app, voice and timers

• Touch: tap the glass buttons on the wall.
• App: control each light from anywhere in the Tuya app.
• Voice: link the Tuya app to Amazon Alexa, Google Home or Samsung Bixby.
• Timers: switch lights on and off automatically, for example on at 18:00 and off at 06:00.

Three types of timer

The Tuya app offers three timer modes. Schedule switches at set times on chosen days. Circulate switches on and off repeatedly during a set period. Random switches at random during a period, which makes the house look lived-in while you're away.

Scenes with other Zigbee devices

Use a button to run a scene. Touch "Home" and the ceiling light comes on while the curtains open, or touch "Film" to switch on the TV and an LED strip.

Glass panel with a curved edge

The 2.5D curved tempered-glass panel has an anti-fingerprint finish.

Works as a Zigbee router

Because it's mains-powered with a neutral, the switch also acts as a Zigbee router for other Zigbee devices in your home, such as battery sensors and locks.

Installation

The switch fits a standard US/4×2 wall box. Connect live (L), neutral (N) and one lighting output per gang (L1–L4). Turn the power off at the breaker first, and have a qualified electrician fit it.

How to pair

1. Power the switch and make sure your phone and Zigbee hub are on the same 2.4GHz WiFi.
2. Press and hold any button until the ring light cycles red, green and blue.
3. In the Tuya app, open your Zigbee hub and add a sub-device.

Will it fit a UK back box?

No. The plate is 120 × 72mm, made for US and Latin American (4×2) wall boxes. For UK homes, see our 86mm ZM202 smart switch.

How do I change the names on the screen?

Rename each button in the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app. The new name appears on the switch.

Do I need a neutral wire?

Yes. It needs live and neutral at the switch.

Do I need a hub?

Yes. A Tuya-compatible Zigbee hub, such as the Zemismart M6, M1 or M1 Pro.

Is the screen on all the time?

It wakes when someone approaches. You can also set the backlight brightness in the app.

Does it work with Alexa and Google?
