A plug-in Zigbee electric curtain track

The Zemismart ZM87E is a complete electric curtain track with a mains-powered Zigbee motor, so it never needs charging. Pair it with a Tuya Zigbee hub and control your curtains from the Tuya or Smart Life app, by voice with Alexa or Google, with the included RF remote, or by hand.

The aluminium track comes in sections that join together, so one kit covers anything from a small window to a full wall, in sizes from 2m to 8m.

Works with a Tuya Zigbee hub

The ZM87E connects through a Tuya Zigbee hub, such as the Zemismart M6 (not included). Once it's paired, you can open, close or set the curtains to any position from anywhere in the app.

Voice control and schedules

Link your Smart Life account to Alexa or Google Home and say "Alexa, close the curtains". Set the curtains to open at 8am and close at 8pm, every day or on chosen days.

RF remote included

The RF remote opens, stops and closes the curtains without your phone. It takes a CR2450 coin battery, which is not included.

Manual use when the power is off

If the motor is unplugged or there's a power cut, you can still open and close the curtains by hand.

Centre or side opening

Use a pair of curtains that part in the middle, or a single curtain that opens to one side. The kit includes the parts for both.

Built to run smoothly

• Aluminium track: light, strong and joined with connectors to the length you need.
• Belt drive: for quiet, smooth movement at about 12.8cm per second.
• 1.5Nm torque motor: for everyday curtains.

Choosing the right kit size

Measure the track length you need, then choose the kit at or just above it.

• Covering a whole wall (alcove): track length = wall width minus 3cm.
• Covering just the window: track length = window width plus 70cm, so the curtains stack clear of the glass.

For example, a 2.6m track needs the 3m kit.

Quick setup

1. Plug in the motor, and make sure your phone and Zigbee hub are on the same 2.4GHz WiFi network.
2. Press the Set key on the motor three times within 5 seconds. The light flashes quickly, then goes out.
3. In the Tuya or Smart Life app, open your Zigbee hub and tap "Add subdevice", then "LED already blink".
4. When the motor is found, tap "Done" and name it.

To pair the remote, press Set on the motor once, then press the up button on the remote within 5 seconds. The motor light flashes rapidly when it's paired.

Frequently asked questions

Does it need a plug socket?

Yes. It's mains powered with a 1.5m cable, so you'll need a socket near the motor end of the track. If there isn't one, an electrician can fit a socket or fused spur.

Do I need a hub?

Yes, a Tuya Zigbee hub such as the Zemismart M6. It isn't included. If you'd rather not use a hub, choose the WiFi version, the ZM02.

Which size kit do I need?

Measure your track length (wall width minus 3cm, or window width plus 70cm) and choose the kit that covers it.

Can I open the curtains by hand?

Yes, when the motor is unplugged or the power is off.

What battery does the remote use?

A CR2450 coin battery, which isn't included.
