Matter push buttons, no Zigbee hub needed
The Zemismart ZM808-P is a Matter over WiFi push button light switch with large flat keys: press anywhere on a key to switch the light. Because it uses Matter, one switch works with Apple Home, Google Home and SmartThings, and it connects over your home WiFi rather than a Zigbee hub. Choose 1, 2, 3 or 4 gangs in the same tall white plate.

Works with the major smart home platforms
Once paired, the switch appears in Apple Home, Google Home and SmartThings, and can also be added to Home Assistant through its Matter integration. Matter supports multi-admin, so you can share the switch to more than one platform.
What you need: a Matter controller
To add the switch to Apple Home, Google Home or SmartThings, you need a Matter controller (hub) on the same home network. Examples include:
- Apple Home: Apple TV 4K, HomePod (2nd gen) or HomePod mini
- Google Home: Nest Hub (2nd gen), Nest Hub Max, Nest Mini, Nest Audio, Nest Wifi / Wifi Pro
- SmartThings: SmartThings Station or Hub v2/v3

No Matter controller yet? You can scan the switch’s Matter QR code in the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app and control it directly over WiFi.
Voice control
Use Siri with Apple Home, Google Assistant with Google Home, or Bixby with SmartThings, e.g. “Hey Siri, turn on the kitchen light.”
Schedules and status lights
Set lights to switch on and off at set times in your app. Each key has its own indicator: on when the light is on, off when it’s off.
Installation and pairing
The switch splits into a base and a front panel. Your electrician wires and fixes the base, then the panel clips on.
- Power on. The indicators flash to show the switch is ready to pair.
- Turn on WiFi on your phone.
- Open Apple Home, Google Home or SmartThings and choose to add a Matter device.
- Scan the Matter QR code (on the switch label and in the manual). Keep the code safe: you’ll need it to re-pair.

Frequently asked questions
Will it fit a UK back box?
No. It’s sized for US and Latin American 4×2 boxes. For UK 86mm boxes, see the ZM101 Matter push button switch.
Do I need a hub?
For Apple Home, Google Home or SmartThings, you need a Matter controller such as an Apple TV, HomePod mini or Nest Hub (2nd gen). In the Tuya or Smart Life app it works without a hub.
Does it work with Alexa?
The manufacturer states that this Matter over WiFi switch doesn’t support the Alexa app. Use Apple Home, Google Home or SmartThings.
Does it need a neutral wire?
Yes, live and neutral are both required.
What’s the difference between this and the ZM-808?
They look the same. The ZM808-P uses Matter over WiFi; the ZM-808 uses Zigbee and needs a Tuya Zigbee hub.
Can I use it with more than one app?
Yes. Matter supports multi-admin, so you can share the switch from one platform to another.
Can I fit it myself?
