Please note: this switch is made for US and Latin American 4×2 back boxes. It does not fit standard UK 86mm back boxes. It needs a Tuya Zigbee hub, but no neutral wire.

Smart control, even with no neutral at the switch

Many homes have only a live wire and the switched wire at the light switch, with no neutral. Most smart switches won’t work there. The Zemismart ZM-808 No Neutral version is built for exactly that: it runs on the live wire alone, so it can replace an ordinary switch without new wiring to the switch box.

It has the same large flat keys as the standard ZM-808. Press anywhere on a key to switch the light. It comes in 1, 2 and 3 gang versions and connects to the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app through a Tuya Zigbee hub.

You will need a Tuya Zigbee hub

The switch needs a Tuya-compatible Zigbee hub (sold separately), such as the Zemismart T1, M1 or M6. With an M1 or M6 hub, it can also appear in Apple Home, Google Home and SmartThings.

App control from anywhere

Turn lights on or off from your phone at home or away, rename each gang, and add the switch to scenes and automations.

Timers and “away” mode

Schedule lights at set times, use Circulate to switch on and off repeatedly within a period, or use Random to make the house look occupied while you’re away.

Link the Smart Life or Tuya app to Alexa or Google Home and control each light by voice.

Installation and pairing

The switch splits into a base and a front panel. Your electrician connects the live wire to L and each light to L1, L2 or L3, fixes the base, then clips the panel on. The neutral stays at the light fitting.

To pair, hold any key until the indicator flashes, then add it as a sub-device on your Zigbee hub in the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.

Frequently asked questions

Will it fit a UK back box?

No. It’s sized for US and Latin American 4×2 boxes. For UK 86mm boxes, see the K6 Zigbee push button switch. For UK 86mm boxes with no neutral, see the 606EU-Z.

How do I know if I have a neutral at my switch?

With the power off, an electrician can check the switch box. If there are only two wires (or one cable) going to the switch, there is usually no neutral, and this version is the one to choose.

Is there a minimum load?

Yes. The rated load is 5–700W incandescent or 5–300W LED per gang, so each gang needs at least 5W connected. Very low-wattage LED bulbs may not work well with no-neutral switches.

I do have a neutral. Which should I buy?

The standard ZM-808 (neutral required) also comes in a 4 gang version.

Is it available in grey?

Yes, choose Grey aluminium.

Do I need a hub?

Yes, a Tuya Zigbee hub such as the Zemismart T1, M1 or M6.

Does it work with Alexa and Google?

Yes, through the Tuya Smart or Smart Life skill.
