Zemismart ZPS-Z1 batteridrevet tilstedeværelsessensor med Zigbee, radar og lyssensor
The Zemismart ZPS-Z1 is a battery-powered radar presence sensor. Unlike an ordinary motion sensor, it can tell that someone is still in the room even when they're sitting still: reading, working at a laptop or watching TV. So your lights stay on while you're there and switch off soon after you leave. It runs on a single coin battery, connects over Zigbee, and sticks or clips anywhere with its magnetic base.

Presence sensor or motion sensor?
A standard PIR motion sensor only notices movement. If you sit still for a few minutes, it decides the room is empty and the lights go off. The ZPS-Z1 uses 24GHz radar, which picks up much smaller movements, such as typing, scrolling on a phone or even breathing. It knows you're still there.

Just need to detect someone walking in, in a hallway or on the stairs? The MIR-IR100 PIR motion sensor has a longer 8m range.
5m range, 110° wide
The sensor covers up to 5 metres in front of it, across a 110° angle, which suits living rooms, bedrooms, offices and bathrooms.

Ignore fans, curtains and pets' beds
The 5m range is split into 0.5m zones, and you can switch each zone on or off in the app. If a fan or a moving curtain sits 2–3m away, just mask that zone so it doesn't keep the lights on.

Adjust it to suit your room
Choose high, medium or low sensitivity, or set your own threshold for each zone. You can also let the sensor adjust itself automatically.

Choose how quickly the lights go off
Set a no-occupancy delay of 0 to 60 seconds: the time the sensor waits after the room empties before reporting that nobody is there.

Built-in light sensor
The sensor measures the brightness of the room and shows a 24-hour light graph in the Tuya app. Use it in automations so the lights only turn on when it's actually dark.

Automations that save energy
Pair it with other Zigbee devices to create routines, for example:
- Lights on when you walk in, but only if it's dark.
- Lights off when the room is empty, even if someone forgot.
- Air conditioning or heating off when nobody's home (with a smart IR remote).
Turn lights on automatically when you walk in: pair it with the Zigbee MR16, the ZMZ-SL Zigbee downlight, the Zigbee colour changing downlight or the ZMZ-03SL LED strip controller.
Pair with a switch module (ZB-EU-02) for automatic lighting with your existing light switches.
Want to switch the lights by hand as well? Add a stick-on manual override switch (ZB-L04C).

Works with Tuya, and more with a Zemismart M6 hub
The ZPS-Z1 needs a Zigbee hub (not included). Zemismart lists its T1, M1 and M6 hubs as compatible:
- Any Tuya Zigbee hub: the Tuya or Smart Life app, with automations and Alexa or Google Home routines.
- Zemismart M6 hub: also brings the sensor into Apple Home, Google Home, SmartThings and Home Assistant.

Battery powered: no cables, no sockets
One CR2450 coin battery powers the sensor, so you can place it wherever it works best, not just near a socket.

Stick it, stand it or hang it upside down
The magnetic ball joint rotates 360° and tilts 180°, so you can aim it exactly. Stand it on a shelf, stick it to a wall with the 3M adhesive pad, or mount it on the ceiling upside down. No drilling needed.

Setting up
Remove the battery tab, press and hold the pairing button until the light flashes, then add the sensor as a sub-device of your Zigbee hub in the Tuya app.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a presence sensor and a motion sensor?
A motion sensor only reacts to movement, so it often turns lights off on someone sitting still. This radar sensor detects tiny movements such as breathing or typing, so it knows the room is still occupied.
Do I need a hub?
Yes, a Zigbee hub. Any Tuya Zigbee hub works with the Tuya app. A Zemismart M6 hub adds Apple Home, Google Home, SmartThings and Home Assistant.
Will it detect someone asleep?
Not always. Radar can miss a sleeping person who's lying still and facing away from it. For bedrooms, aim the sensor towards the bed.
Can I stop a fan or curtain from triggering it?
Yes. Mask the distance zone where the fan or curtain sits in the app.
Do I need to drill holes?
No. Stand it on a surface, or stick the magnetic base to a wall or ceiling with the 3M pad.
Can it be used outdoors?
No. It's designed for indoor use.
