Please note: the M6 connects to your router by Ethernet cable only (no WiFi). It works with Tuya-standard Zigbee devices, and we recommend Zemismart devices, which are tested with it. For Apple Home, Google Home or SmartThings, you also need a Matter controller such as a HomePod, an Apple TV or a Nest Hub. A USB power adapter isn’t included, but any 5V 1A USB plug works.

A wired Zigbee gateway for a reliable smart home

The Zemismart M6 plugs into your router with an Ethernet cable and runs your Zigbee devices: switches, curtain motors, lights, sensors and locks. A wired connection means no WiFi dropouts between the hub and your router. It’s a good fit if your router is in a central spot, or if you’re setting up a larger home or a small office.

Bring Zigbee devices into Apple Home, Google Home and SmartThings

The M6 acts as a Matter bridge. You add it to the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app, add your Zigbee devices, then share the hub to your Matter platform with a setup code. Your Zigbee devices then appear in Apple Home, Google Home or SmartThings alongside everything else.

You’ll need a Matter controller from the platform you use: a HomePod or Apple TV for Apple Home, a Nest Hub or Nest speaker for Google Home, or a SmartThings hub.

Up to 128 devices, with an external antenna

The M6 is built on Zigbee 3.0 and supports up to 128 devices. It has an external antenna. Mains-powered Zigbee devices, such as switches and plugs, also act as routers and pass messages along.

Local control and pro-level settings

Automations and device data are handled on the gateway on your home network, so responses are quick. The M6 also has features for larger installs:

• Zigbee channel selection, to avoid interference from busy WiFi
• Gateway replacement, which moves your devices to a new gateway if one ever fails
• Remote restart from the app

What you can connect

Curtain and roller blind motors, downlights, ceiling lights, presence and PIR sensors, temperature and humidity sensors, wall switches, scene switches and more, as long as they’re Tuya-standard Zigbee devices.

M6 or M1 Pro?

Choose the M6 if Ethernet is fine and you just need Zigbee devices in the Tuya app and Matter platforms. Choose the M1 Pro if you want WiFi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) so the hub can go anywhere, a built-in IR blaster for your TV and air con, or Thread device support.

Frequently asked questions

Does the M6 have WiFi?

No. It connects to your router with the included Ethernet cable. If you need WiFi, choose the M1 Pro.

Do I need a Matter controller?

Only for Apple Home, Google Home or SmartThings, and you’ll need a HomePod, Apple TV, Nest Hub or SmartThings hub. The Tuya and Smart Life apps work without one.

Is a plug included?

No. It comes with a USB-C cable. Use any 5V 1A (or higher) USB plug.

Does it work with any Zigbee device?

It works with Tuya-standard Zigbee devices. Other brands may not pair or may have limited features. Zemismart devices are tested with it.

Does it work with Alexa?

Yes, through the Tuya Smart or Smart Life skill for Alexa.

How many devices can it handle?

Up to 128 Zigbee devices.
